Hm. I guess this is where I tell you where I am, huh?
(Hint: The best way to find out is to get to know me)
My name is Olubunmi, or Bunmi (Boom-me), and if that doesn’t work for you, my English name is Hope. My father is Nigerian, and my mother is Caucasian (European, American, Native American), which makes me mixed. I’m a sophomore at Iowa State University, majoring in psychology. Dr. Pepper and pink lemonade help me stay awake on long nights. I haven’t grown since middle school, and stand a very un-intimidating 5′3″. I’m extremely ticklish, and I squeak when I laugh. I’m a dysthymic — chronically, clinically depressed since the age of 7, and I have struggled a lot with self-harm and self-destructive attitudes as a result. [ Note: If you have struggled or are struggling with self harm or mental health issues, many of the things in my blog are potential triggers. Please be safe before you read. ] I sleep with a teddy bear named Orion, who is wonderfully soft and huggable, even if he sheds on my dark clothes. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I live every day trying to please Him, in spite of my own weaknesses.
Now, it’s your turn. I would love to get to know you. : )
